  1. The race costs $30: $25 for the race and $5 for the insurance
  2. Add $5 for race day registration - we'll open at 8:00 a.m.
  3. All classes will be offered with age and male/female groups – see entry form

The Red Bug Challenge is sponsored by the bike shops of Tallahassee and the Tallahassee Mountain Bike Association.

Fine Print Rules: USAC rules in effect. No earphones allowed. Race director reserves the right to combine classes. Awards will be given after both race waves have been completed. Event will be held rain or shine. Alternate route will be established if needed to protect the trail from damage. Event director reserves the right to cancel the event under severe weather conditions. Refunds are not provided. Please write your race # on the back of your left calf using a magic marker in a vertical fashion.


 
About the race: The Red Bug Challenge (RBC) is a benefit mountain bike race on a true east coast-style race course - super technical single-track balanced with open sections for passing. The RBC offers cash payout for experts and prizes for all classes. The first wave is dedicated to true first time racers and is open to anyone who has access to a mountain bike. The first wave is intended to inspire new potential mountain bikers. The second wave is dedicated to mountain bikers with developed fitness, skills and racing experience.

Benefiting: The Red Bug Challenge is being held to benefit The Bouncing Babies Diaper Alliance. A portion of the race proceeds will be given to The Bouncing Babies Diaper Alliance, which provides diapers and basic needs for babies. They focus on helping families with infant babies and scholarships are determined by family physicians.
